The Sinhala Language and Literary Unit is a long-standing literary organization dedicated to the promotion and development of Sinhala language and literature. Established in 1967, the unit has played a significant role in nurturing literary appreciation, creative expression, and cultural awareness for several decades.
The unit actively encourages the study and practice of poetry, prose, drama, and literary criticism, offering members opportunities to explore both classical and contemporary Sinhala works through competitions, workshops, seminars, publications, and cultural programs.
සාහිත්ය දැනුම් සම්භාරයකින් යුක්ත් ගුණදම් රකින සාහිත්යානුකූල පදනමක් සහිත් ව ජීවත් විය හැකි දරු කැලක් බිහි කිරීම අපගේ අරමුණ ගේ.
